Nico Carrillo’s knockout prep for Saemapetch Fairtex stuns ONE Commentator

Before facing Saemapetch Fairtex, Nico Carrillo underwent intense preparation to sharpen his skills with his coach, JP Gallacher. Gallacher did an excellent job, and Carrillo delivered in the fight by defeating the Thai star. During their sessions, they practiced a specific drill witnessed by longtime ONE commentator Mitch Chilson. Chilson commented at the time, “That’s an interesting drill.”

After the win, Chilson, recognizing the knockout move Nico Carrillo used, posted on his Instagram: “A few weeks before Nico took on Saemapetch at ONE 23, I saw JP and Nico drilling on IG and commented. JP was working out of the southpaw position, followed by Nico slipping and ripping. If you can believe it, Nico KO’d Saemapetch with that punch.” He also humorously asked fans, “What do you think? Is fortune telling or a fluke?”

Mitch Chilson, a martial artist himself, gave his insight into the game. Upon seeing Mitch Chilson’s post, many fans shared their instant reactions and even drew comparisons to the French astrologer and apothecary Nostradamus.

One fan, clearly impressed by Chilson’s spot-on predictions, jokingly called him a fortune teller with a psychic edge and also appreciated Nico Carrillo’s coach: “Fortune telling. mystic JP.” Another fan chimed in, upping the ante by comparing Mitch Chilson to the legendary seer Nostradamus: “Okay there, Nostradamus!”

Chilson’s fighting background hones his instincts, enabling him to anticipate fight strategies and call out key moments before they unfold. Meanwhile, another fan lauded JP Gallacher’s coaching, saying, “Gallacher is on another level. He is the key, and Nico just finished it perfectly.” This is also evident in Nico Carrillo’s journey in ONE Championship.
