Denis Puric is confident on his counters against Rodtang Jitmuangnon

Currently riding a two-fight winning streak against elite competition, Puric has earned himself the #2 spot in the flyweight Muay Thai rankings. A win over the beloved Rodtang – the long-reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion – would elevate him to the status of a global superstar.

The 39-year-old knockout artist isn’t about to shrink under the immense pressure. Quite the opposite, he’s bursting with confidence and bravado ahead of the biggest fight of his life.

Perhaps surprisingly, “The Bosnian Menace” is pleased that this fight is taking place under kickboxing – not Muay Thai – rules.

“The Bosnian Menace” calls “The Iron Man” a good target

According to Puric, it’s his foe’s ultra-aggressive, forward-marching approach that will ultimately be his undoing, as he’ll be open for massive counter-strikes.

What’s more, he says that because Rodtang won’t have access to his trademark Muay Thai weapons like elbows and clinch-fighting, he’ll be significantly less dangerous.

Puric added, “Come on, he’s so square. There’s nothing but a target there. And he can’t catch me because I move. I don’t get hit a lot. As long as I’m in shape, I’ll be too fast, too strong, and I move. He will not be able to catch me. He just comes forward square.

“I got every tool in the game. I got angles. I got f****** hands for days. There’s no clinch, no elbows? Come on. Watch and enjoy the spectacle. It’s gonna be amazing. It’s gonna be wonderful. It’s time for a new king.”
