On July 7, 2022, ONE Championship announced its ONE 161 fight card, which will make its debut on prime video. This event will be the second in the series of back-to-back events put up by the promotion after ONE 160. The event will take place at the Singapore Stadium. This promising fight card will be telecasted live on Prime Video at 10 pm ET.

The ONE 161 card has some thriller fights on display for ONE Championship fans. Along with mixed martial arts, it also includes Muay Thai bouts, which will give a varied experience to the viewers.

A look into Demetrious Johnson vs Adriano Moraes

The fight between Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson will serve as the main event of ONE 161. Moraes, who is on a three-fight winning streak, will defend his ONE Championship flyweight title against Demetrious Johnson. ‘Mighty Mouse’ in his last Mixed Rules fight secured a victory over Rodtang.

A look into Nong-O Gaiyanghadao vs Liam Harrison

ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai champion, Nong-O-Gaiyanghadao, will defend his title against Muay Thai legend Liam Harrison. This fight will serve as the co-main event of ONE 161. The champion has been in excellent form and is undefeated in 8 consecutive fights since 2018.

On the other hand, Harrison has put up stellar performances in the ring. The British Muay Thai fighter is on a five-fight win streak out of which three of his victories have come via stoppage. This fight between the two is expected to cause a lot of fireworks.

A look into Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs Savvas Michael

The ONE 161 card will witness the flyweight Muay Thai WGP semi-final when Rodtang Jitmuangnon takes on Savvas Michael. Jitmuangnon, who is the reigning ONE Championship flyweight Muay Thai champion, suffered a loss against Demetrious Johnson in their mixed rules bout. However, he is in tremendous form in Muay Thai and is currently on a 6-fight winning streak.

This fight against Rodtang will prove to be a test for Savvas Michael. In his last five fights, Michael has witnessed mixed form losing two and winning three. While there is no doubt about his skills, one would be interested to see how Michael holds up to the experience of Rodtang.

Other fights at One 161

The ONE 161 fight card is tailored to entertain the fans. The ONE Championship fight card will see two heavyweight bouts when Marcus Almeida takes on Kirill Grishenko. In the other heavyweight bout, Amir Aliakbari will take on Mauro Cerrili.

Apart from that, Amir Naseri will face Johnathan Haggerty in a Muay Thai bout. The women also will be seen in action at ONE 161 when Itsuki Hirata takes on Lin Heqin and the fight between Diandra Martin and Amber Kitchen will open the card.
