ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek ‘The Kicking Machine’ Kiatmoo9 believes his rivalry with Rodtang ‘The Iron Man’ Jitmuangnon will only escalate further after their bout at ONE Fight Night 8: Bhullar vs. Malykhin on Prime Video.
If he succeeds in his mission to defend his gold against his undefeated in the striking division of the promotion on March 24, ‘The Kicking Machine’ will set his sights on establishing himself as a two-sport World Champion by challenging for Rodtang’s flyweight crown next. It might not be the easiest of dreams, but Superlek is riding a lot of momentum leading up to this epic clash in Singapore.

Deservingly, he believes he can be the man to put a dent in Rodtang’s perfect slate in ONE Championship.

It is safe to say that for the second fight to go down with the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title on the line, Rodtang will first need to defend his strap versus Edgar Tabares at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on May 5 in Colorado, U.S.
The Thai superstar has been on a hot streak since he closed a deal with ONE in 2018, winning all of his kickboxing and Muay Thai battles inside the circle. At ONE: DAWN OF HEROES on August 2, 2019, Rodtang successfully claimed the Flyweight Muay Thai strap from Jonathan Haggerty’s waist.
Heaping praise where it’s due…
While he views Rodtang’s success as incredible, Superlek thinks he’s never been tested to a full extent. So if he does lace the 4-ounce gloves and square off under Muay Thai rules, the divisional king promises to utilize every element of his stand-up game to gain him an important career win against arguably the toughest striker on the planet.

He added, “Muay Thai allows you to punch, kick, elbow, and knee, but many foreign fighters usually focus on their punch. But Rodtang’s punch is good, with additional dangerous Muay Thai weapons, so he is always superior to those opponents.”
