Having started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in his younger years, his foundation is strong and fuels his success as he prepares to challenge the reigning ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Champion, Kade Ruotolo, in a bid to dethrone him at ONE 168: Denver. This marks ONE Championship’s second show in the United States and is scheduled on September 6th at the Ball Arena.

Jarred Brooks, gearing up for his upcoming fight for the ONE Interim Strawweight MMA World Championship against Cuba’s Gustavo Balart at ONE Fight Night 24 on August 2nd at Lumpinee Stadium, was interviewed by Sportskeeda MMA to promote the bout. The conversation soon turned to the upcoming ONE 168: Denver card, where Brooks offered his insights on the highly anticipated submission grappling clash between Kade Ruotolo and Mikey Musumeci.

“That’s a really tough one to call, ” Brooks said.” Mikey will surprise you. He works super hard and he downloads information really well. But, at the same time, I’ve watched a lot of Ruotolo’s tapes from Mikey’s positions. So, Ruotolo definitely has the remedy to beat Mikey, but, at the same time, Mikey already knows that and he’d already be working on the next step.”
