Like all the other ones, ONE Championship was back with one more edition of their coveted Friday Fights series. The seventh edition of the series was set to feature a catchweight Muay Thai bout between both Thai men, Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon and Theeradet Chor Hapayak. The coveted Lumpini Stadium was filled with a combat-sport-loving crowd that had been entertained by the other superb bouts of the night.

Both fighters took the ring of the Lumpini Stadium with full confidence. The compulsory pre-bout Muay Thai ritual commenced before the start bout. Both fighters touched the four corners of the ring and returned to the center. The fight started with the signal of the referee.

Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon showcased complete domination over Theeradet Chor Hapayak

The fight began with Rambolek going for a kick. However, Theera countered with some kicks of his own. Rambo landed another high kick on Theeradet’s arm. In turn, Theeradet also landed a sharp strike. Rambolek’s attack was based mainly on kick, whereas Theeradet trusted his hand strikes primarily. Rambolek looked to be pressurizing a bit more than Theera in the first round.

The second round began with Rambolek going for a barrage of hand strikes. He pressurized Theeradet into the corner and knocked him out with a furious left-right combination. The force of the knockdown was enough for the referee to understand that Theeradet was not getting up from it and he signaled for the bout to be stopped. Rambolek finished off his opponent in the very first minute of the second round, crowning himself the victor of the bout.

Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon thanked the ONE CEO in his post-fight interview

In his post-fight interview Rambolek stated, “I felt very happy, I felt prepared”. He was also asked whether it was his game plan to mix up kicks with hand strikes. The Thai answered, “Yes, that’s a part of my plan to kick him and to strike him after that”.

After the announcement of a 350,000 buck bonus from the ONE Championship CEO, Chatri Sityodtong, Rambolek expressed his gratefulness stating, “I want to thank all my supporters, I wanna thank Chatri and I wanna thank all my team for this”.

Looking at the excitement of the crowd, it was evident that they would be awaiting the next edition of ONE Friday Fights 8 eagerly.
