The Thai held an advantage for the majority of the battle, landing punch-kick combinations and knees on the Perth native at will. After draining his rival’s gas tank in the first couple of rounds, Superlek started the third round hunting for the inevitable – a devastating finish.

A knee dropped Williams for the first eight-count of the bout in the opening 90 seconds of the frame, and the flyweight kickboxing king brought it home moments later with a step-in knee and a barrage of strikes to seal the deal at the 1:55 mark.

#2 Akbar Abdullaev Crushes Oh Ho Taek In Just 44 Seconds

In the lead-up to ONE Fight Night 8, Akbar “Bakal” Abdullaev made it clear that he believed he would leave the Circle with his unbeaten record intact – and that became a reality after in only 44 seconds of action on the night.

The Kyrgyz featherweight made his intentions known against Oh Ho Taek by connecting with jabs and body shots after the opening bell rang. To his credit, Oh countered with jabs as he attempted to diffuse the situation and stay in the fight.

But unfortunately for the South Korean athlete, this left him open to a thunderous uppercut that quickly put him on his last legs. “Bakal” marched forward from there and onto his falling rival, and he delivered an onslaught of hammerfists to secure the win and up his record to an impressive 9-0.

#3 Eddie Abasolo’s Insane Right Hand Puts Niclas Larsen To Sleep

Eddie “Silky Smooth” Abasolo’s inch-perfect straight right helped him secure his first win in ONE against #5-ranked featherweight Muay Thai contender Niclas Larsen last Friday night.

After piercing his opponent’s guard with heavy elbows for most of the opening stanza, the American athlete shifted into fifth gear in the second frame to mix a differing point of attack with his signature weapons.

His Danish foe put up a solid effort and fired back with combinations of his own. But that only gave Abasolo more opportunities to counter, and when he landed an expertly timed straight right, “Dreamchaser” was knocked down to the canvas in a flash, where he stayed.
