The match will be held inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and will air live on Asia primetime.

Featherweight kickboxing king Chingiz Allazov is taking some time off and will return later in the year, but the stacked division will continue to move with the introduction of an interim strap pitting the top two contenders.

Superbon and Grigorian met for the first time way back in 2018, where the latter claimed a knockout victory over the Thai superstar in a different promotion. Since then, Superbon went on an 11-fight tear spanning five years on his way to becoming the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion and the pound-for-pound best kickboxer in the world.

At ONE X in March 2022, they crossed paths having signed for the promotion a couple of years prior, with Grigorian rising in the rankings to earn a shot at the Singha Mawynn representative’s coveted strap.

They put on a hard-fought five-round performance, and when the smoke cleared, it was Superbon who was declared the winner, avenging the only loss he had suffered in five years.

However, he would drop the belt to Allazov in his next outing and he has been working his way back to the gold since then.

He rebounded from the loss with a highlight-reel knockout over Tayfun Ozcan at ONE Fight Night 11 in June and later returned to his Muay Thai roots in a narrow loss to titleholder Tawanchai PK Saenchai.

His recent performances have shown that he remains as dangerous as ever and a worthy holder of the kickboxing gold.

On the flip side, Grigorian has also shown that he has what it takes to carry 26 pounds of gold on his shoulders. Following his loss to Superbon, the Hemmers Gym star took out Ozcan before another hard-fought battle in a failed attempt at Allazov’s crown.

This past January at ONE 165, he conquered a former rival in decisive fashion, knocking out Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong to maintain his position as the #2-ranked contender in the division.
