Superbon is back at the top of the featherweight division by putting a definitive end to his chapter with an old rival. At the main event of ONE Friday Fights 58 this past weekend, the Thai superstar won a close five-round war against Marat Grigorian to clinch the ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Title inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Grigorian looked determined to get his first taste of ONE Championship gold, coming out with unrelenting pressure against Superbon. The Superbon Training Camp representative used his distance control to try and neutralize his opponent’s attacks.

With both men getting their moments of brilliance entering the championship rounds, they continued to lay it all on the line in order to get ahead. As the final bell rang, their corners celebrated with them in the ring with both sides believing they had done enough to secure a victory.

In the end, though, it was Superbon’s hand that was raised, to the delight of fans in attendance. It was the 33-year-old’s second victory over Grigorian in three matches in their careers. The Armenian striker got the best of Superbon in their initial encounter back in 2018 before they were part of the world’s largest martial arts organization.
