Earning a USD $50K for his performance, the taekwondo specialist made easy work of the undefeated challenger.

The fight started with Tonon throwing some open kicks. The 50/50 and MidCity MMA representative closed the distance and countered with a right hand. However, Tonon pulled guard and attacked the champion’s leg. Though Tonon thought bringing the fight on the ground would give him an advantage, it was the total opposite result.

The World Champion didn’t panic and started to land ground and pound against the grappling wizard. ‘The Lion Killer’ kept attacking the legs with both hands. Thus, it left his face open, and the champion was able to land the devastating shots that put away the challenger.

“Congratulations Tanh Le!! Louisiana on the map!” Former WEC and current UFC fighter Dustin Poirier, who is a proud Louisiana native, congratulated Thanh Le for his performance.
