For Williams, this massive opportunity came just days ago when he agreed to fill in for an injured Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon.

Danial Williams said the pressure was on Superlek since he was the champion
Originally slated to battle Rui Botelho in a strawweight Muay Thai contest, the 29-year-old says he was happy to face one of the planet’s most feared strikers, even at a higher weight class and under kickboxing rules. After all, says Williams, few fans are picking him to win. The Thai superstar, on the other hand, is likely feeling the weight of massive expectations.

According to “Mini T,” therein lies his advantage over Superlek. He explained, “I think that the pressure’s on him, man I’ll be honest. I’m the strawweight guy, I’ve got nothing to lose. He’s gotta put on a show, he’s gotta make sure he gets the win, he’s the favorite. So, I feel like that’s my advantage. For me, that just gives me massive confidence, because I’m just not stressed about it.”
