“I love Jeremy Miado as a fighter. He’s exciting to watch. He’s got some good wins behind him against some really notable opponents. So, I’m not taking him lightly at all. He’s a good challenge,” Williams said.

“He’s a former ranked guy for a reason, and I believe he’s better than anyone I’ve ever faced in MMA in ONE. I really look up to him.”

“Mini T” has many complimentary things to say of Miado, but that doesn’t mean he’s overly concerned about whether or not his own skill set can stand up to his more experienced rival.

The 29-year-old dynamo knows he can get the job done on the night, and he is laser-focused on scoring his fourth successive win on the global stage in emphatic fashion.

“Someone’s definitely getting stopped here, but it’s not going to be me. It doesn’t matter when it comes. All that matters is that I go there and get the finish,” the Kao Sok Muay Thai and Scrappy MMA athlete said.

Williams has ambitious plans for the future

Williams’ long-term goal in ONE is to reign as divisional king in MMA, Muay Thai, and kickboxing, and a highlight-reel finish over Miado next Friday will help him move forward along that lofty path.

However, he also wants to build his brand overall and feels that an all-out war with “The Jaguar” live on U.S. primetime will allow both men to get their names out to the global fanbase.

“Me and Miado make total sense. He’s on the same brink as I am. He was in the top five a few months ago, now I stole it, so a win for both of us here is pivotal,” Williams said. 

“We’re in the same boat. There’s a lot on the line for both of us, and this is why this one is going to be a banger on Prime Video.”
