#1 Danial Williams

Australian star “Mini T” Danial Williams will soon find himself in the biggest opportunity of his career, as he battles Superlek “The Kicking Machine” Kiatmoo9 for his ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title in the main event.

A win for the 29-year-old over an established pound-for-pound talent like Superlek would certainly gain him some much-needed acclaim as one of the world’s best strikers.

Although his past four appearances in the Circle have been MMA bouts, “Mini T” has plenty of high-level striking experience and is a real threat to take the flyweight kickboxing crown by surprise.

 #2 Itsuki Hirata

In women’s atomweight MMA action, the 23-year-old Itsuki “Android 18” Hirata could punch her ticket to a World Title shot with a victory over the #2-ranked Ham “Hamzzang” Seo Hee. The Japanese phenom has less than a quarter of the professional experience of her veteran opponent, but certainly has the skills and killer instincts to take out “Hamzzang.”

Watch for Hirata to utilize her world-class judo and grappling talents to force the South Korean out of her element as she tries to secure the biggest win of her still-young career.

#3 Keito Yamakita

Finally, undefeated Japanese sensation Keito Yamakita will square off with former ONE Strawweight World Champion Alex “Little Rock” Silva in an MMA showdown that pits a well-established veteran against a promotional newcomer. With his pristine 7-0 record and top-tier wrestling skills, the 26-year-old comes to ONE with plenty of hype behind him.

A victory over “Little Rock” would not only prove that hype is deserved but also send a message to the rest of ONE’s strawweight MMA division.

Being an ardent fan of the UFC (and Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier), I was always looking to have conversations about the same with others. But to my disappointment, I hardly found any followers of the sports to interact with. So I took it upon myself to do my part in popularizing the thrill and the agony behind the purest form of unarmed combat. At EssentiallySports, I try to bring the readers closer to the athletes and focus my coverage on exploring the human side of these martial artists. I’m a musician during my time free from reporting MMA. I operate as the lead vocalist of a rock band that aims to make their mark among the audiences with their original alternative-hard rock songs.
