ONE Championship’s July Fight Night card is quickly taking shape, and it’s just received a boost with the addition of three matches that could have major implications for their respective divisions.

ONE Fight Night 23: Buntan vs. Meksen will now include a high-stakes lightweight MMA clash between former titleholder Ok Rae Yoon and promotional newcomer Alibeg Rasulov when it goes down on Friday, July 5, inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ok has displayed his durability, veteran smarts, and elite striking throughout his three-year tenure in the world’s largest martial arts organization. The South Korean star has won four of his five bouts, including a victory over Christian Lee at ONE 160 in August 2022, which earned him the ONE Lightweight MMA World Title.

He dropped the belt in his rematch with “The Warrior” but took his first step towards another run at the top when he defeated ONE Championship mainstay Lowen Tynanes in his return at ONE Fight Night 10 last May.

Ok will need all his best weapons to overcome Rasulov. The undefeated Turk amassed a 14-0 slate on the competitive European circuit, and he’ll be eager to make a statement in his promotional bow.

Also added to the ONE Fight Night 23 lineup is a battle of striking superstars, as top-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Nico Carrillo will meet #4-ranked Saemapetch Fairtex.

Upcoming ONE Fight Night showdowns

“King Of The North” is a human highlight reel, having earned three straight knockout wins in his first year in ONE. He has wreaked havoc in the ONE Friday Fights series, and his latest outing saw him best former longtime divisional king Nong-O Hama at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December.

The Scottish slugger now looks to carry that momentum into U.S. primetime, but Saemapetch will be out to slow his hype train.

A veteran of over 100 fights, including 14 in ONE, the Thai superstar has been among the top fighters in the bantamweight Muay Thai division for years. He already knows what it feels like to challenge for the gold, and a win over Carrillo will let the world know he’s ready to go for it again.

Finally, an epic match of titans will take place at ONE Fight Night 23 when the always-hard-hitting Kang Ji Won collides with former World Title challenger Kirill Grishenko in heavyweight MMA action.

Kang is a proven finisher, with all four of his wins in ONE coming by spectacular knockout. For his part, Grishenko has mixed up his Greco-Roman skills with some dangerous striking to become a feared name in the ever-growing division, and he’ll be confident he can take the fight anywhere with “Mighty Warrior.”

Whoever wins this one will join “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane, Amir Aliakbari, and Ben “Vanilla Thunder” Tynan on the list of contenders for three-division king Anatoly Malykhin’s heavyweight strap, so fans can bet it will be a barnburner.
