There were plenty of winners that night, some of whom may have just sealed their spot in the upper echelons of their respective divisions.

The Dagestani grappling sensation lived up to his hype by forcing “The Fighting God” Kim Jae Woong to tap to a rear-naked choke inside the opening frame.

Gasanov did not hold anything back, viciously attacking the South Korean from the sound of the bell. After a couple of failed attempts, the Russian star managed to trap Kim following a double-leg takedown before working his way to a finish.

“The Cobra” transitioned onto his rival’s back, wrapped his arms and legs, and locked in the match-winning submission after just 129 seconds.

Not only did he extend his unbeaten slate to 13-0, but the impressive debut also earned him a whopping US$50,000 performance bonus.

#2 Jeremy Miado

Both strikers vowed to go toe-to-toe in this strawweight matchup. Ultimately it was Jeremy “The Jaguar” Miado’s striking which triumphed.

The Filipino athlete ripped past “Mini T” Danial Williams’ Muay Thai-based attacks to make a case for himself to rejoin the rankings.

Both men threw it down as soon as the match got underway, Miado landing thumping strikes while Williams threw more volume sprayed across his rival’s body. “The Jaguar” even caught Williams with a quick punch-knee combination that sent him down, but the Australian-Thai refused to call it quits.

But all that changed just 31 seconds into the third stanza. Miado uncorked a picture-perfect boxing combination that dropped Williams straight onto the canvas. Referee Herb Dean was forced to intervene at this point, handing “The Jaguar” his fourth-straight knockout.

#3 Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong

Sitthichai “Killer Kid” Sitsongpeenong’s experience proved to be the decisive factor against Mohammed “Too Sharp” Boutasaa in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

However, the #4-ranked featherweight kickboxing star had to earn his victory the hard way against the far pacier and tricky debuting star.

The Moroccan dynamo was all systems go, and he constantly delivered attacks from various angles. At the midway point of the match, Boutasaa even landed a kick to the neck, which seemed to have taken the wind out of “Killer Kid’s” sail.

But the Thai weathered the storm and picked up momentum in the final round of the battle. He ensured he landed more shots via his punches, left kicks, and knees on Boutasaa while making the latter miss more than he landed.
