Demetrious Johnson avenged his first-ever knockout loss in ONE Championship at ONE on Prime Video 1. ‘Mighty Mouse’ produced one of the best finishes on the card with a flying knee that secured him the ONE flyweight world championship. After the fight, MMA pundits around the world sang praises of the G.O.A.T. which included names like world number one podcast host and MMA analyst Joe Rogan.

In a conversation with former UFC welterweight world champion Kamaru Usman, The Joe Rogan Experience host reflected on ‘Mighty Mouse’, at 36, still proving he is the epitome of the flyweight division.

Joe Rogan was in awe of Demetrious Johnson’s blistering win

Demetrious Johnson became the first-ever fighter to win both major MMA titles in the world, i.e., the UFC and ONE Championship.

The lifelong martial artist (Rogan) said, “Shout out to Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson. Still doing it, still doing it; wins the world title over at ONE. I mean, he’s gotta be. How old is ‘Mighty Mouse’ at this point in the game?”

The Taekwondo and BJJ black belt added, “He is one of the greatest of all time. That guy is so f***ing talented. So talented. And the way he set that knee up, the way he hits him with the right hand and there’s like a pause. Not yet, not yet… boom, lands it perfectly.”

Rogan believed ‘Mighty Mouse’ was always a problem

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ called ‘DJ’ ‘one of the best’ as Joe Rogan continued, “When he was at the top in the flyweight division in the UFC, he would, you would see guys trying to solve this puzzle, of this guy who’s here and then he teleports to here and then he’s kneeing you in the body and then he’s over here and then he’s got your back.”

Joe Rogan has previously declared ‘Mighty Mouse‘ as ‘the greatest MMA fighter of all time’. Likewise, for his recent win, Johnson is receiving praise from various top names in the mixed martial arts world. Earlier Conor McGregor also congratulated DJ for his emphatic win.
