Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon is set to return to the ring after showcasing his skills at ONE Friday Fights 51 last February. At ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on Prime Video, he will face Irish sensation Craig “Coco” Coakley in a bantamweight Muay Thai fight scheduled for August 2 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Rambolek’s main goal is to start a new winning streak.

Rambolek discusses his upcoming fight against Craig Coakley

Rambolek had an impressive promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 7 in March last year with an opening-round knockout victory over Theeradet Chor Hapayak. He followed it up with another stoppage a month later, handing China’s Zhang Chenglong a second-round knockout at ONE Friday Fights 13. This helped him become the first winner of a six-figure contract to compete in ONE’s marquee events.

After stumbling in his next two appearances, the 21-year-old went back to his winning ways at ONE Friday Fights 51 this past February, edging Turkey’s Soner Sen in a three-round fight. Now, he’s looking for a second straight win to resume his climb in the divisional rankings.

In an attempt to familiarize himself with his opponent’s fighting style, he studied Craig Coakley’s previous match against Suablack Tor Pran49 last year to gain insight. After analyzing the fight, Rambolek stated, “I can’t tell you much about Craig’s strengths and weaknesses. He is a tall boxer. He has formidable knees and elbows. I watched his fight with Suablack, but I didn’t learn much because he got knocked out in the first round. Even though he lost to Suablack, I won’t underestimate him.”

However, Rambolek isn’t trying to change his strategy for the upcoming fight against Craig Coakley. Instead, he will focus on utilizing his arsenal more effectively to hit and damage Coakley.

Promises to repeat the past!

After studying Craig Coakley’s fight against Suablack, Rambolek feels confident that his fighting style will get the better of his opponent. He stated, “This fight is the same as usual. I will fight in my style, using legs as my main weapon, but using my weapons with more variety.”

Rambolek further vowed to attack Coakley the same way that Suablack knocked him out.  He stated, “I saw Suablack punch him in the body. I’ll try doing the same. I’m confident in my kicks, and I’m confident in my fighting experience.” Rambolek has laid out his strategy for facing Craig Coakley, but there’s no guarantee it will work. Coakley, undoubtedly, will have his own game plan in place, and we can only speculate what it might be.
