With the Wimbledon 2017 finals turning out to be a one sided affair, most of the spectators might say that the match was not worth the finals. Sometimes after battling through six tough rounds, there isn’t enough gas left in the tank for some of the players to give a hundred percent on court for one more match. Sometimes, as in the case of this year’s finals, the players are hampered by injuries that they sustained during the tournament or that have been bothering them prior to the tournament. This year we’ve had several walkovers due to the players retiring during the match. This has raised questions over the commitment of the players and it has been debated about the reduction of prize money in case of a player who retires without the completion of the match. Nevertheless, most of the times a finals are one-sided because one of the players happens to be dominating the other. So we roll back the years and tick down five of the most one-sided Wimbledon finals to ever take place, in a reverse chronological order.
