After an incredible performance at One Fight Night 10, the fans were delighted to see their favorite Demetrious Johnson defeating Adriano Moraes. The ONE Championship champion looked likely to retire from the sport after this fight. However, after the victory, the champion was quick to square off against a future opponent. This makes the fans question the retirement plans of ‘Mighty Mouse’.
In the post-fight interview with the press, Johnson spoke about his plans for retiring. Additionally, he added that he would take some advice from the UFC legends too.

The ONE Championship fighter has been in the news lately owing to the rumors of his retirement. The 36-year-old is not quite sure of his future. However, he still exudes a golden touch in the sport of MMA owing to his win against Adrian Moraes.
During the post-fight interview, ‘Mighty Mouse’ said, “We’ll see you know. I’m still young and talking to my peers, talking to Uriah Faber, you know I’m gonna reach out to GSP, I will reach out to Khabib Nurmagomedov. I’m gonna talk to these guys. I’m like you know, why did you guys stop? Like those guys, they kept on fighting”.

Although all three have different reasons for retirement. Khabib Nurmagomedov retired because he didn’t want to continue in the sport due to his father’s death.
Georges St-Pierre announced his retirement at the top of his game, having achieved everything that the sport had to offer. Uriah Faber faced retirement in a gruesome fashion, with a defeat in his last fight.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Johnson after he has a word with the MMA legends. Overall, Johnson’s approach to retirement is a wise one.
