A’ja Wilson’s versatility shines through as she seamlessly adapts to different roles on the court. Redick remarked, “Her ability to kind of shape-shift has popped even more this year.” This adaptability has been crucial as the Liberty has worked to integrate new players into their lineup.

Courtney VanderSloot and Jacquel Jones joined the team. And with injuries and preseason disruptions, the Liberty faced challenges in building cohesion. As a result, Wilson had to adjust her game accordingly. Redick noted, “Stewie has had to…she can play on or off the ball, but her role has also kind of fluctuated.”

However, as the season progressed, and the team found its rhythm, A’ja Wilson’s ability to float seamlessly on and off the ball became a game-changer. Redick emphasized, “Now you’re getting to see more of Stewie just float on and off the ball. And it’s a lot more. She doesn’t have to do everything.”

Redick pointed out, “There are also the nights against… the fever, the links game where she just blew things open through three quarters, the 40-point game against Dallas.” These performances illustrate her ability to take charge when needed.
