J&T Banka Ostrava Open 2020 will see No.3 seed Aryna Sabalenka take on No.4 seed Victoria Azarenka in what will be an all Belarusian Final. The inaugural tournament will see the two Belarusians compete for their second title of the year.

Azarenka will take the court in search of her 22nd career title and Sabalenka, on the other hand, will look to make it her 7th.

The contest will be intriguing, to say the least. While Azarenka has powered her way through to the finals, Sabalenka has taken her time to hit the straps in the tournament.

It can easily be a clash between the power serving of the former against the expansive groundstrokes hitting abilities of the latter.

Sabalenka showed great court coverage and struck winners off both sides of the court to prevail in her semi-final match.

On the other hand, Azarenka-the second-oldest player in the WTA Top 20-made easy work of her opponent in a straight-sets victory. She registered her 18th win in the last 21 matches.

Azarenka and Sabalenka have met twice in the past with a win each for both. The US Open 2019 saw the 22-year-old take the match in a three-set victory.

The US Open 2020, earlier in the year, saw the 31-year-old settle the score and register a straight-sets triumph over her compatriot.

It hasn’t been easy for both in this tournament and that makes them go even-stevens into the Finals. Azarenka has been consistent while Sabalenka has shown great fightback.

Sabalenka has come back twice in the tournament after being a set down while Azarenka has done that only once. The latter has the majority of her wins in straight sets while the former will be high in confidence after that surreal comeback against Sara Sorribes Tormo.

Azarenka might have an edge just because of her wealth of experience. However, Sabalenka has looked the part all the way through.

This match has all the makings to go right down to the wire.
