Sir Elton received a personalized game ball from Robert Kraft. It said ‘Sir Elton John’ and had the logo of his grand tour on it. Kraft also gave him an autographed white vintage ‘Pat the Patriot’ style Patriots helmet.

The New England Patriots on Twitter share the Kodak moment with both entities sharing a smile. The caption goes, “A gift for the [rocket] man.” Moreover, Kraft appears to have personally written a note to the singer on the helmet. For Elton John, the gifts may hold immense significance.

Elton John was once a part of the New England Patriots

Both Robert Kraft and Elton John have a storied history, and their friendship goes long back. Kraft and John are both considered all-time classics in their relevant positions. In fact, the rock and roll legend is a New England Patriots enthusiast. His interest in a horde of sports and owning a sports management company makes it a no-brainer.

However, that is not just it. Sir Elton’s friendship with Kraft once earned him the honorary captaincy of the New England Patriots. It happened when the franchise went against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Wembley Stadium in 2009. Undeniably, Robert Kraft had a beautiful token of love for someone who called him his ‘best friends in the whole wide world.’
