Six time NBA All-Star Paul George is known to be ruled out of Los Angeles Clippers’ upcoming game against Toronto Raptors on Monday.

George, since moving from Oklahoma City Thunder during the pre season, is yet to play for Clippers.

George played in the Clippers second unit on Thursday, taking a step further into recovery. To add to it, Clippers coach Doc Rivers had said that George making his debut on Monday against the Raptors was a “possibility.” This left many excited with the prospect of Paul George playing alongside Kawhi Leonard against Toronto.

However, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports has now reported that Paul George is ruled out of the OKC game.

It was only a day ago that George has admitted of the rehabilitation being tiresome.

“I’m tired of rehabbing,” George said. “It sucks.”

“I’m here for the long run and here for the long haul. I know what the big picture is. Obviously it’s for my own good that I wasn’t  in those things early.”

Although Paul George is not expected to make his debut, the game should not be short of excitement with Kawhi Leonard coming up to face his former team. Leonard, who was the Finals MVP last season when he led the Raptors to the NBA Championship, was looking forward to a “fun” reunion with his old team.

As for the Raptors, they seem to have their own injury concerns after Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka walked off the court injured in the same game on Friday.

The team announced that Lowry has been diagnosed with a fracture of the distal phalanx of his left thumb and will be reevaluated in two weeks. Ibaka had injured his ankle and is up for further assessment.
