MMA fight fans are thrilled to see the champions from Bellator take on the champions from PFL on 24th February 2024 in Saudi Arabia. The champ vs. champ card was made possible after the PFL bought Bellator late last year.

The card’s co-main event will feature the Light heavyweight PFL champion Impa Kasanganay, taking on the undefeated middleweight Bellator champion, Johnny Eblen. Johnny Eblen is arguably one of the most dominant fighters in MMA right now. However, the PFL light heavyweight champion doesn’t seem too worried about going up against Kasanganay as he opens up about it in the latest ES exclusive Fancast.

In the interview, he was asked if he saw holes in the game of Eblen, to which he replied, “Oh, yeah, sure. So I mean, it’s in a sense to think that’s a good question. Everybody has flaws. And like just capitalizing on that. But I do see parts in Johnny that I could, definitely yknow create an opportunity.”

“But even if you didn’t have any, I don’t look for the person who has no flaws to beat. I look for the person that seems like they have none. That’s the more rewarding task. If Johnny’s a better fighter than many fighters that are probably not the best. But he has many many skills and is undefeated. That’s awesome opportunity for me. Not to take away anything from him,” said Kasanganay.

The confidence coming from the 30-year-old isn’t just for show. Kasanganay is coming into the fight with a commendable 6-fight-winning streak, with 4 of the 6 being finishes. The matchup between the two champions is certainly a treat for the fight fans. Nevertheless, despite Impa Kasanganay’s confidence, he still acknowledges Eblen’s Dominance.

Kasanganay, despite his success in the sport of MMA, is one of the most polite and humble fighters in the game. Not much for trash talk, “Tshilobo” acknowledges the work that his opponent for Saudi Arabia has put in.

“Johnny [Eblen] is good everywhere. He’s done his thing in Bellator. He dominated. He’s fought well… he’s one of those fighters who’s put a stamp and made his place in history. And those are the moments in the fights that you look to elevate yourself. And I think it is a thing to consider, like a catapulting moment, that David versus Goliath or whatever you want to look at it,” said Kasanganay.
