Harris English made a 20ft birdie putt on the 8th playoff hole to win the 2021 Travelers Championship. The intense drama match is the second-longest playoff in the US PGA Tour history. Both English and Hickok delivered seven pars before English grabbed a spectacular birdie and won his fourth PGA Tour title.
This is the second win in 2021 for the World No.19. He had previously won the Sentry Tournament of Champions in January and ended his winless drought. So let us see how much Harris English won as prize money after his Travelers Championship victory.

Harris English won a whopping $1,334,000 after winning the tournament, lifting his season total to $6.5 million. Harris has had a great season so far. He finished solo third in the 2021 U.S. Open, T21 at Masters, and T14 at Palmetto Championship. The four-time PGA Tour winner was exceptional with his game in all four rounds.
But his major strength in the final round of the tournament was his putting. He gained +3.34 strokes on Sunday and +0.99 strokes for the event with his putting. His playoff opponent Kramer Hickok was neck to neck against him but struggled with his approach game a little. Even off the tees, English was exceptional as he gained around +0.92 strokes for the tournament.

In the playoff, both Harris and Kramer made seven consecutive pars. But on the eighth hole, Kramer two-putted from 22 ft, and English had a 20ft birdie putt to win. Harris sank in and finally ended this exciting playoff.
The longest playoff in PGA Tour history was 11 holes at the 1949 Motor City Open between Lloyd Mangrum and Cary Middlecoff. But both became co-champions by mutual agreement because of darkness.
The three-time winner, Bubba Watson, was in contention until he closed his round with four bogeys and a double-bogey. Watson shot 73 and finished T19. Bubba’s collapse opened the gate for English and Kramer to have a fight and eventually get into the playoff.
