Ian Poulter Sends Wishes to His Golf Buddy Ashleigh Barty Ahead of US Open 2021

Ian Poulter is one of the most prominent golfers on the PGA Tour and European Tour. Moreover, he is also known for his out-of-the-box dressing style on the golf course. The 45-year-old has 3 PGA Tour wins in his career, a number that is far below his capabilities. However, his highest ranking in the OWGR was the no.5 position. 

Moreover, the Englishman is not just a golfer but is also a huge soccer, Formula 1, and a tennis fan. Additionally, he even regularly interacts with the players from all these sports. And recently, he was practicing on the range last week at the Liberty National Golf Course in New Jersey with the Australian tennis star Ashleigh Barty.

Ian Poulter wishes Ash Barty all the luck for the U.S. Open

The 45-year-old Ian Poulter wished good luck to the Australian tennis star Ash Barty for the U.S. Open. The Englishman shared a video of him and Ash Barty practicing together at the range in New Jersey last week. Additionally, the tweet said, “Good luck to Ash Barty next week in the U.S. Open. Hope you smash it on the court like you were on the range.” Meanwhile, the U.S. Open in tennis will begin on August 30, and hence, Ash Barty is currently at Flushing Meadows.

However, Ian Poulter’s PGA Tour season has come to an end as he failed to get into the top 70 FedExCup rankings following the Northern Trust. But his Ryder Cup hopes are still alive, but for that, he would need a bit of assistance from Padraig Harrington, as most probably he won’t get an automatic qualification.

Moreover, Ian Poulter has six Ryder Cup appearances for the European team. And now, as the Ryder Cup approaches, he has been getting back in his form. He finished T10 at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational and T31 at the Northern Trust.
