Jason Kokrak became the third player with two PGA Tour titles in the 2021 season. He followed the footsteps of Bryson DeChambeau and Stewart Cink and clinched the Charles Schwab Challenge after having won The CJ Cup in October 2020.

While that is a massive achievement, Jason Kokrak also reached new heights in the 2021 FedExCup Standings. Prior to the Charles Schwab Challenge, Kokrak stood 27th in the official standings having played 18 events.

The Charles Schwab Challenge awarded Korak 500 FedExCup points which skyrocketed him to the Top 5 of the 2021 standings. The victory at Fort Worth vaulted him 12 spots as Jason Kokrak is now fifth on the updated list.

But that’s not all. While Jason Kokrak would be jubilated about breaking into the Top 5, Texas native Jordan Speith would be even more delighted as he surged to the second spot on the ranking.

Spieth is now second on the 2021 FedExCup standings with 1,649 points. He trails leader Bryson DeChambeau by just 28 points and overtook Justin Thomas with an effective finish at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Bryson DeChambeau (1,677), now leads the 2021 FedExCup standings, followed by Jordan Spieth (1,649), Justin Thomas (1,648), Viktor Hovland (1,619), and Jason Kokrak (1,511).

Spieth hailed Kokrak after a marvelous comeback

Jordan Spieth was the heavy favorite to win the  2021 Charles Schwab Challenge. The Texas native headed into Round 4 as the 54-hole leader but crumbled under pressure on Sunday. That’s where Jason Kokrak capitalized and ran away with the title.

Kokrak was one stroke behind Spieth heading into the final round but ended up winning the tournament by a two-stroke lead.

“Some people get towards the lead and you watch them kind of back off and he seemed to be aggressive toward the ball. Drove the ball incredibly around this place and he’s always been somebody that when he’s toward the lead, he’s going to step on the gas more than tap the brakes and that’s what he did,” Spieth said of Kokrak.

Jason Kokrak is now a two-time PGA Tour winner and both his wins have come this season. He joined the tour in 2012 and has earned a reputation through sheer hardwork and willpower.
