The 3M Open 2021 is being played at TPC Twin Cities in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is just the third edition of the tournament but still, many top-ranked players are competing in this event. Matthew Wolff won the inaugural edition, while Michael Thompson is the defending champion.

Since it is a non-major PGA Tour event, the total prize money for the 3M Open is $6.6 million. And it is the standard 18% payout according to the PGA Tour’s prize money distribution chart. The entire field is competing to get the highest share from the total purse of $6.6 million.

Just like every event, the winner will get the highest share of the total purse. So here’s how the distribution will work. The winner will get $1,188,000 from the total purse of $6.6 million. Apart from the monetary benefits, the winner will also get 500 FedEx Cup points and 38 Official World Golf Rankings points.
