Dustin Johnson and his fiancee Paulina Gretzky have been together for eight years, but the pair haven’t got married yet. Over the years, news about a potential wedding date has always flown by, and the same happened a couple of days ago as well. One of Gretzky’s recent social media updates suggested that she was planning a wedding, but Johnson cleared the air around the topic.

Johnson and Gretzky haven’t found the right time for their wedding yet, and there have always been rumors about it. Paulina Gretzky recently went shopping for a wedding dress with renowned designer Vera Wang in New York City. That is all it took for social media to blow up that the couple is getting married soon.

Gretzky did post updates of her trying on the wedding dress on Instagram. This led to people thinking that a date is set. Inevitably, Dustin Johnson was asked about the same during a recent media availability at the 2021 Valspar Championship.

A journalist referred to Paulina Gretzky’s recent Instagram stories and asked Johnson if the couple has fixed a date. “We do not have one yet,” Johnson replied. While that might seem like a collapse to the hype, the 2020 Masters champion did say that they’re getting closer to setting one soon.

Dustin Johnson reflected on poor showing at the 2021 Valspar Championship

Dustin Johnson came into the Valspar Championship as an early favorite but struggled with his putter at the Copperhead Course. Johnson made 13 birdies through four rounds but committed seven bogeys that largely hindered his game.

“I don’t think I got one good break the whole week,” Johnson said. “It’s just one of those weeks.”

The World No. 1 did improve on his iron game from last week, but his putter largely let him down at the Valspar Championship. Johnson also said that “the game is close to being good.”

Dustin Johnson has not been consistent with his game. The 24-time PGA Tour winner has zero Top-10 finishes in his last five starts, which includes a missed cut at the 2021 Masters where he was the defending champion.

Johnson will now take a brief pause from his game and skip the upcoming Wells Fargo Championship. However, one can expect to see him compete at the AT&T Byron Nelson and PGA Championship.
