Jon Rahm is finally a major championship winner. Boy, how good does that feel? Rahm has been one of the most consistent players on the tour, and he fully deserves this win. The Spaniard has added a major feather to his cap with his win at Torrey Pines, but how much did he make from the tournament?

The U.S. Open is one of the most lucrative tournaments in golf. In fact, the event’s prize pool comes just behind the Tour Championship and the Players Championship as the most profitable tournaments in the sport. 

As for Jon Rahm, he received a $2.25 million payout for his heroics at Torrey Pines. Rahm took home an 18% share of the total 12.5M prize pool awarded at the U.S. Open 2021. This is a huge payday indeed!

With this huge $2.25 million prize money won at the U.S. Open, Jon Rahm now gained 10 spots in the PGA Tour’s all-time money leaders list! He was 58th last week before the U.S. Open, but has now climbed upto the 48th spot! 

Rahm has now made $28,181,322 in tournament winnings, and can soon eclipse a few big names with such incredible performances.

Jon Rahm was clutch throughout the final round at U.S. Open 2021. He posted a 4-under 67 on Sunday which was the joint-lowest score in Round 4. The Spaniard stood up and delivered when it mattered – he received a handsome pay for his efforts. 

Rahm won the U.S. Open, while South-African golfer Louis Oosthuizen achieved yet another agonizing runner-up finish. Oosthuizen came in one stroke behind Rahm at 5-under, while Harris English finished third at 3-under
