The Palmetto Championship got underway on Thursday, and by looking at Round 1, we can assume that there’s a lot in store for golf fans over the weekend. The course is playing good and here’s everything you need to know ahead of Round 2 on Friday.

The 156-man field completed their opening round at the Congaree Golf Club yesterday. 32-year-old Wes Roach outplayed the field and cruised atop the leaderboard with a 7-under 64 on Thursday.
While Roach alone has the lead, there are four players who are trailing him in the second position. Doc Redman, Dustin Johnson, Chesson Hadley, and Erik van Rooyen are all tied at 6-under after 18-holes.
