The 2021 Memorial Tournament is heading into the final round at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Round 4 is in for a smooth finish as there is no forecast of rains or thunderstorms. However, there is a massive change in the leaderboard owing to Jon Rahm’s withdrawal from the tournament.

It all came crashing for Jon Rahm at the 18th green on Saturday. As Rahm wrapped up his Round 3 performance with an 8-under 64, he was subsequently informed that he tested positive for COVID-19 and had to withdraw from the 2021 Memorial Tournament with immediate effect.

Rahm had a six-stroke lead at that point and was poised to become the tour’s first successful defending champion of a tournament since Brooks Koepka at the 2019 PGA Championship. But now, his playing partners Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morikawa are the joint leaders with a score of 12-under through three rounds.

Branden Grace and Scottie Scheffler are tied for the third spot and trail the leaders by three strokes. Max Homa sits alone in fifth place with 6-under and has an outside chance at winning his second title of the season.
