The Wells Fargo Championship has entered the weekend after two days of exciting action. The field is set for the final two rounds at Quail Hollow Club and there’s plenty to look forward to. Here’s all the information you need to know ahead of Round 3 on Saturday.

Two-time champion Rory McIlroy was the second-best performer in Round 2 with a 5-under 66 on Friday. The 32-year-old is now tied for fifth place on the leaderboard and has every chance of contending for the title this year. 

Consistency is all that matters at Quail Hollow, and Round 2 saw three players tied for the lead at the end of Friday. Matt Wallace, Gary Woodland, and Patrick Rodgers are all sitting on the top with 6-under, and the remaining two days will be crucial in determining the winner.

The Wells Fargo Championship is undoubtedly headed towards a thrilling finish. Round 1 leader Phil Mickelson had a disastrous Friday and went all the way down to the 10th spot with his 4-over 75 in the second round.
