John Daly Reveals the Insane Amount of Food He Could Eat in One Sitting

John Daly is one of the most prominent and fan-favorite names on the PGA Tour. He has won 5 PGA Tours, 3 European Tours, and 2-major championships in his career so far. Meanwhile, even though he doesn’t have a record like Jack Nicklaus or Tiger Woods, he is still a loved personality among fans.

So the primary reason for his popularity was the swag and charisma he carried on the course. He was the most relaxed golfer on the Tour and was well-known for his driving distance. He had also talked about the insane amount of food he was able to eat in one sitting. So let us find out more about the same.

John Daly shares the insane amount of food he could eat in one sitting

A few years back, American golfer, John Daly had given an interview to Graham Bensinger. There they asked him how many times did he visit McDonald’s and what was his diet? “Quite a bit. Burger King, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, all of them. I used to have like two Big Macs, two or three cheeseburgers, chocolate shake, or regular Coke back then, you know, before I started drinking Diet Cokes, pretty easily in a sitting.”

Meanwhile, hearing this, the host Graham Bensinger was flabbergasted. He couldn’t believe that he could finish all these things in a sitting that too pretty easily. Furthermore, he asked Daly about the diet cokes. It is said that John Daly drinks about 515 gallons of diet coke a year. 

“I used to drink anywhere from 12 to 20 diet cokes a day,” said Daly“I used to go to McDonald’s three to four times a day. To me, they always had the best fountain diet coke. You know I don’t drink water. I hate water. I cannot stand drinking water.” Hence, to compensate, he gets in around 12 to 20 cans of diet coke each day, which is insane.

Meanwhile, he was detected with bladder cancer in September 2020, and he had to undergo chemotherapy. Moreover, he still has to undergo a few chemotherapies and has to restrict himself from having any of the above things, especially diet coke.
