‘Lot of Content’ – Rickie Fowler Wants F1-Style Netflix Documentary For Golf

Rickie Fowler is one of the most popular golfers on the PGA Tour. Fowler has a massive reputation even though he’s not been in the best of form lately. A lot of factors might be pulling him down from performing and fans won’t be aware of most of them. However, Fowler is okay with the idea of featuring in a Netflix documentary about golf, similar to the one Formula One has!

There are a lot of intricacies about a particular sport that its set of fans might not be aware of. When it comes to golf, avid followers would be keen on getting up close to know what happens during tournaments or major events. 

Furthermore, it is always enticing to know how the professionals go about their business and handle the pressure during tense moments. Some of the golfers too, would be interested in being a part of a cinematic-style series that portrays them as lead characters!

Rickie Fowler is open to feature in F1 style documentary about Golf

The form slump of Rickie Fowler is still hard to be able to take in. From being one of the most celebrated players, Fowler is currently enduring a state where he struggling to achieve top results. 

But Rickie Fowler believes he can bounce back and that’s what matters. The 32-year-old recently appeared on ‘The Ringer’ podcast where expressed his views about a possible documentary on golf that will resemble Formula One’s ‘Drive to Survive.’ 

“There’s been talks over the years of how that will work,” Fowler said. “I think there is a lot of content and space for it to be done because people don’t really see the full ins and outs of what we do.”

“That’s really what people want right now. It’s not just the normal stuff that you can watch on TV. That’s why you like the F1 series has done so well. It’s a different look and kind of behind-the-scenes look,” Fowler added. 

It seems as if Rickie Fowler is the first player to give the green light for a potential Netflix documentary about golf. If it happens, Fowler will definitely be a major entity for the producers to focus on! Can Fowler bounce back to winning ways?
