Rory McIlroy is no longer a single golfer on the tour as he’s been married since 2017. However, the 31-year-old does have a history of dating other women before he tied the knot with Erica Stoll.

Eric Stoll was born in Irondequoit, New York, and went to West Irondequoit High School, after which she attended the Rochester Institute of Technology. Stoll is passionate about sailing, baking, and she has also made special cookies for the Ryder Cup when she was working with the PGA.

Furthermore, the story of McIlroy’s first meeting with Erica Stoll is a thrilling one. The acclaimed golfer overslept and missed his tee-time during the 2012 Ryder Cup. He was under fire for his negligence, and it was Stoll who got in touch with him as she was a PGA employee at that time.

The main aspect of their relationship is that it has always been lowkey. Rory McIlroy once addressed this fact during an interview with ‘The Independent’

“Erica has been around me quite a lot at tournaments but we have really just tried to keep it low key. She is a very low key person, not the kind to broadcast stuff, but that side of my life is really good just now. We are excited, our parents are excited so it is a really happy time,” McIlroy said.

Eric Stoll does not want to hog too much of the limelight. She can been seen supporting her husband at tournaments, but the former PGA employee wants none of the camera attention!
