The regular season ended with a bang at the Wyndham Championship this weekend, where Kevin Kisner won the tournament in a six-man playoff. The playoff went to the second hole, where Kisner came out on top against Adam Scott, Kevin Na, Branden Grace, Roger Sloan, and Si Woo Kim. Even before the playoff began, 54-hole leader Russell Henley was out after missing the three-foot putt.

However, despite Kisner’s win, Scott’s missed putt has become an unexpected highlight. If not for that, Scott would have taken home the Wyndham Championship title instead of Kisner. Before this, Kisner was 0-5 in the PGA Tour playoffs and has now secured his PGA Tour title. The last time he won was in 2019 – WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

Scott’s missed putt extended the playoff to the second hole as all six players made par. If all went well, Scott would have had the Wyndham Championship title on the first playoff hole. While his Round 4 performance was impressive, a small error ended up costing him the mighty win. That being said, this is reportedly his first top-two finish since 2020.

This could maybe affect the FedExCup Playoffs scheduled in a few days, Scott’s near-miss possibly motivating him even more. The Australian has of course maintained his playoff streak, not missing any since 2007. Here’s a look at what fans had to say about Scott, some even reacting on social media with gifs and memes.
