Moreover, Rory managed to hold his nerves on the final day and registered an emphatic victory at the 2021 CJ Cup in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, Rickie Fowler finished the event T3 and was just three strokes behind the lead. Moreover, this strong performance from both McIlroy and Fowler has given them a boost in the Official World Golf Ranking. Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler take a huge leap in the OWGR

After a disappointing last couple of seasons, both Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler have started their 2021-22 PGA Tour season on a high note. Rory, who was competing in his first event of the season, registered a win. On the other hand, Rickie was in the lead till the final day of the event and eventually finished with a shared third spot.

Hence, after this strong finish, McIlroy has once again made his way into the top-10 rankings. He is currently ranked 8th according to OWGR. Meanwhile, Rickie Fowler was way behind in the rankings due to his disappointing performance. Before this week, he was 128th in the rankings. However, his brilliant performance of a T3 finish at CJ Cup has finally got him in the top 100 as he is currently in 82nd place. 

Meanwhile, even after a disappointing finish in a European Tour event, Jon Rahm has maintained his top spot. Dustin Johnson and Collin Morikawa also retained their second and third spot, respectively.
