Rory McIlroy is one of the best golfers on the PGA Tour. The Northern Irishman has 20 PGA Tour wins and four major championship victories in his career so far. And currently, he is competing at the 2022 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. However, he has had a hotchpotch of an event as he is 28th going into the final round.

Rory makes a few changes to his bag for the 2022 season
According to bunkered.co.uk, Rory McIlroy has decided to go with the brand new TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver. Previously, he had SIM2, which helped him to be fourth in strokes gained off the tee. Furthermore, he was even second in the driving distance stats on the PGA Tour last year. Hence, he will be hopeful of getting similar results from the Stealth Plus driver.

Additionally, the Northern Irishman has got the two TaylorMade Stealth Plus fairway woods along with his driver. Notably, when it comes to his irons, Rory had decided to go back to his P730 Rors Proto during the 2021 season. He even carries a P.770 3-iron and new Milled Grind 3 wedges last year.

Meanwhile, so far, McIlroy has had a decent start with the new set of equipment. However, he will require some time before getting used to this new driver and woods. Hence, even though Rory isn’t in contention going into the final round, he can use these final 18 holes to get some practice and gain momentum for the rest of the season.
