John Daly is one of the most prominent golfers on the PGA Tour. He has five PGA Tours and two major championship wins in his career so far. Moreover, he was also one of the longest drivers of the golf ball during his heydays. Meanwhile, recently, John Daly won the 2021 PNC Championship with his son John Daly II. Team Daly obliterated the field and registered a historic score of -27.

John Daly opens up about his disdain for water and love for milk

In 2014, John Daly appeared on ‘In-depth with Graham Bensinger.‘ And there he said that he doesn’t drink water. “Rich Beem and some of the guys call me camel because I don’t drink water. I never drink on tour,” said Daly. Furthermore, when asked what does he prefer drinking, “Diet coke,” said John. “I like to have ice which to me is water, so I get plenty of water in my diet coke.”

However, Daly revealed he has reduced the diet coke consumption because of his girlfriend and has replaced that with whole milk. Notably, the amount of milk his girlfriend buys for him is insane. “About five, I drink about five gallons a week. Yeah, four and a half to five gallons a week,” revealed Daly.

Many say he is probably the only professional golfer on the PGA Tour with an extraordinary diet. However, recently, John Daly was detected with bladder cancer about a year ago, and he is still under treatment for the same. 

Currently, John Daly is competing at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. And after round two, he is T26 with a score of -3.
