It has been almost a year since Tiger Woods had played an official tournament. Everybody expects him to make a comeback at the 2022 Masters. And the GOAT did not completely reject the idea.

Sir Nick Faldo and Jim Nantz interviewed Woods during the third round of the 2022 Genesis Invitational. Nantz kept on asking him whether Tiger would attend the 2022 Masters or not.

Although the questions were suffocating him, the golfer did talk about his intention to attend the event. He said, “I don’t know, I’ll be there Tuesday, and it will be a great dinner. I don’t know what kind of sushi we are going to have!”

It is a tradition to host the Champions Dinner every Tuesday of the Masters’ week. The dinner is exclusive for only the previous champions of the tournament and the Chairman of Augusta National.

The Champion of the previous year’s event has the honor to pick the menu of the dinner. Woods chose his first menu when he was just 22 years old; the GOAT had won the Masters when he was 21-years-old in 1997.

Will Tiger Woods play the popular Par 3 Contest?

I can play that kind of stuff,” Woods said. He was answering Nantz’s question when he asked whether the golfer could play the Par 3 Contest.

The Par 3 Contest is a pre-tournament family event conducted every Wednesday of the Masters’ week. The tournament participants and the non-competing past champions take part in the Contest. The most fun part of the event is that the family members get to be the caddies of the participants.

The contestants compete in the short nine-hole layout in the northeast corner of the Augusta National grounds. The inaugural event was held in 1960; Sam Snead won the Contest that year.

Woods had told the interviewers that he could attend the event. So the chances for him to take part in the event are high. Even though it is a pre-tournament event, people could finally watch him play at the Augusta.
