Even their style of play is very identical, and hence, Watson rightly chose Justin Thomas over any other player. Notably, Tom Watson is one of the legendary golfers of all time. He has 39 PGA Tours and eight major championship victories in his career. Moreover, his dominance at the Open Championship is unforgettable.

Out of eight major wins, five of them have been from the Open Championship. Watson has won this event in 1975, 1977, 1980, 1982, and 1983. He was giving a tough fight to Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and other legends during that era. Hence, he is considered to be one of the best golfers of all time.
