The 2022 Players Championship, at least initially, proved to be a disappointment for the viewers. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to watch since the bad weather was constantly causing delay in the tournament.

Heavy rain and wind caused a lot of problems at the TPC Sawgrass this week. It did not only delay the event, the extreme weather made the golfers and audience shiver due to the cold. Since it was already speculated that the severity of the weather would be extreme, golfers tried to dress in good warm clothes. And the Tour pro, Joel Dahmen, was a little more cautious about the day and prepared himself for it.

Dan Rapaport of Golf Digest shared the photo of Dahmen’s hack to fight the severe cold at the PLAYERS this week. “Joel Dahmen was so cold this morning he wore sweatpants under his pants,” Rapaport tweeted. “Not long johns, not thermals, just full-on thick sweatpants.”

As soon as the writer tweeted this, the golf world went frenzy. While somebody sided with him, some spoke against it and chose to make fun of him.

The sudden climate change may have jolted the tournament a little bit. However, it is still being played at the TPC Sawgrass, and the competition is a lot more fun to watch as now the golfers don’t have other golfers as their opponents but the weather as well.
