A Twitter user defends Patrick Reed in the alleged cheating incident 

A Twitter user named useGolfFacts with around 20,000 followers is said to be an account affiliated to Patrick Reed. Moreover, everyone believes that Reed’s wife, Justine, is the one who manages this account. And to prove this, the account posted the same tweet about Rory McIlroy’s embedded ruling disaster at this year’s Farmers Insurance Open. 

Moreover, during the same week, Reed was facing the heat from golf fans on social media. The fans considered Reed had got away with picking up his ball from what was an embedded lie in the thick rough. And a European Tour pro, Eddie Pepperell, had made a tweet about this Patrick Reed incident.

The tweet read, “Of course it can be true that in the case of Patrick Reed, he *may* have cheated, but that doesn’t mean he always cheats,” tweeted Pepperell on January 31. “I’ve played with Patrick and was astonished at how skillful a golfer he was. This is why it’s so sad that there are so many episodes like this with him…” 

Meanwhile, today the same account responded to this tweet almost after nine months. However, they chose to talk about the Hero World Challenge incident rather than the Torrey Pines. The tweet read,

“Many episodes… No. ‘The Sand’ incident – An expert forensic videographer broke that down… Altered footage from a copy of LIVE broadcast…from his actual shot to the shot shown in replays – basically DIGITALLY ALTERED to publicly smear and cause damages to PREED.”

Fans expose the ‘digitally altered theory’

It’s a quite staggering claim from the useGolfFacts saying that the pictures were digitally altered. But fans exposed this theory as one of the users asked who hired the forensic videographer? Why didn’t PReed file a complaint? Because it’s BS Justine. That’s why. Meanwhile, the Twitter user had no answer to this, hence there was no reply to this tweet.
