The 2022 WM Phoenix Open witnessed an incredible moment on the iconic 16th hole of the TPC Scottsdale. Early in the morning before the play started, a man proposed to his girlfriend on the 16th green. Moreover, she accepted the proposal as she said yes and wore the ring. 

The 16th hole of the TPC Scottsdale is iconic, as it has witnessed some incredible moments in the past. But this has to be the most special and wholesome moment on the PGA Tour this year.

Fan proposes to his girlfriend on the iconic 16th hole of the TPC Scottsdale at WM Phoenix Open

We all know fans have started to line up since 2:30 in the night at TPC Scottsdale. And earlier this morning, we witnessed a very cute moment on the 16th hole as a fan got down on his knees and proposed to his girlfriend. Awed by the gesture and clearly, in love, the girl said yes.

As she wore the ring, the crowd began cheering, and the announcers even made her approval public. They even asked her to show them the ring and clicked pictures of the couple. Caught totally off-guard, the girl looked completely surprised, as she did not see this coming. Hence, her pleasant amusement made the moment even more special. 

We wish this couple a very happy life ahead.  

As for golf, Sahith Theegala leads the 2022 WM Phoenix Open after two rounds. He shot -12 for the event and has a two-shot lead going into the weekend. While the youngster is looking in great touch, the defending champion, Brooks Koepka, is just two strokes behind him.

Additionally, Xander Schauffele is also two strokes behind and has a great chance of taking the lead. Hence, Theegala needs to continue with his performance and not lose the momentum that he has gained.
