Justin Thomas is not narrow-minded. While he’s aiming to become the best golfer in the world, he also embraces his peers. It was evident at the 2021 Charles Schwab Challenge which concluded recently. 

Justin Thomas offered Michael Visacki a generous check

Rick Gehman, the founder of RickRunGood.com, and First Cut Podcast, recently reported about a moment that Justin Thomas and fellow pro Michael Visacki shared at the Colonial Country Club. The latter had just earned his second tour start at the Charles Schwab Challenge, but unfortunately missed the cut after 36-holes. 

Missing the cut meant that Viscaki wouldn’t be treated to a payout at the Charles Schwab Challenge. It undoubtedly messed with his confidence, as his PGA Tour future is lingering in uncertainty. 

But that’s where Justin Thomas rose above everything else and lifted Viscaki’s spirits. 28-year-old Thomas met with Visacki after his missed cut and offered him an undisclosed amount of money to help pursue his dream. 

Thomas won the internet with his generous act. It is moments like these that help athletes rediscover their confidence and help them get back on the grind. The video clip also shows the raw emotions of Visacki after receiving help from Thomas. Golf is a wonderful sport indeed!

Thomas finished T40 at the Charles Schwab Challenge

Justin Thomas was expected to put on a good show at Fort Worth last week. He opened the tournament with a 2-over 72 and bettered it with a 66 in the subsequent round. However, the 14-time PGA Tour winner could not keep up with the leaders after advancing to the weekend. 

Justin Thomas finished his Charles Schwab campaign with an aggregate of 278 and 2-under for the tournament. This effort only earned him a T40 finish on the leaderboard, which marked Thomas’ sixth consecutive start without a Top 10 finish.

Thomas has five Top 10 finishes in 16 starts this season. His maiden victory this season came at The 2021 Players Championship, but the Kentucky native has been struggling to find his form since then.
