When Tiger Woods Almost Injured Himself Trying to Dress Up As Santa Claus

As we all welcome Christmas with enthusiasm, Tiger Woods probably remembers an unfortunate incident that took place during Christmas in 2016. However, Woods has faced a lot of atrocities in his career. The number of injuries he has had over the years is unfathomable. But each time, Tiger has made an incredible comeback and won events on the PGA Tour. 

Meanwhile, Tiger had once shocked everyone by posting a photo of himself as a Mac Daddy Santa in 2016. He made this post on Twitter a couple of days before Christmas. However, there is an interesting story behind this, as Tiger had almost caused himself serious bodily harm. So let us have a look at this incident and see what Tiger thinks about it.

Tiger Woods almost seriously injured himself during Christmas

On December 23, 2016, Tiger Woods posted a hilarious photo of himself as a Mac Daddy Santa. He dyed his goatee with white color and wore a wig and a cap on his head. Moreover, Tiger even wore sunglasses and posed for a photo and posted it on his Twitter account.

However, in 2017 Tiger explained the back story of this and revealed how it almost caused him a serious injury. “Last Year, I burned my face off trying to dye my goatee, which is never going to happen again,” said Tiger. Furthermore, the fifteen-time major championship winner says he did it for the kids as they love this character. 

“Kids absolutely love it. They love when I do something crazy. It provides something that our family does each and every year.” Moreover, Woods said that he will continue to dress up like this even after his kids get older. And he believes that it is something that his kids will remember for the rest of their lives.

However, golf fans were flabbergasted to see this new side of Tiger Woods. And even though Tiger had said that Mac Daddy Santa is here to stay, he has posted no pictures of the same since 2016. Meanwhile, Woods recently played a golf tournament for the first time since his solo car crash in February 2021.

He competed at the 2021 PNC Championship and finished runners-up for the event along with his son Charlie Woods. However, even though he looked incredible with his game, he still needs some time to recover, as walking 72 holes over four days isn’t feasible yet.
