K.H. Lee achieved something that he’s been dreaming about for years; winning a PGA Tour title. Lee reigned supreme at the AT&T Byron Nelson 2021 by finishing three strokes ahead of anyone else. As he made the final putt on the par-5 18th, Lee did not burst out with emotions, but enjoyed a calm celebration with his wife and kept bowing his head in front of the cheering spectators. 

K.H. Lee has often stood away from the limelight on the PGA Tour. Of course, he’s now garnering all the attention owing to his heroics at the AT&T Byron Nelson, and a lot of people are interested in knowing about his personal life as well.

However, K.H. Lee is set to enter fatherhood soon as Joo Yeon Yu is pregnant with their child. Yeon Yu was eagerly awaiting her husband’s victory at TPC Craig Ranch and she was seen standing alongside South Korean golfers K.J. Choi and Sung Kang on the sidelines.

“Yeah, yes, with my wife, it’s my wife pregnant, so left two months, so I can’t wait two months, so everything is so thankful and excited,” Lee expressed about his wife in his champion’s press conference. 

Lee is the eighth South Korean to win on the PGA Tour

South Koreans have always been excellent performers on the PGA Tour. K.H. Lee becomes yet another golfer from the Asian country to win on the PGA Tour. K.H. Lee succeeded in his 80th start and became the eighth South Korean to win on the tour following his AT&T Byron Nelson triumph. 

“I’m really thank you very much K.J. and Sung Kang. I didn’t think about they wait for me, but he wait for me and congratulations K.H., you’re so good. Always they are very kind for me, so very, very thankful K.J. and Sung. Very excited,” Lee expressed his gratitude after the win.

K.H. Lee went 25-under over the week at TPC Craig Ranch. No other player could match it, which gave the 29-year-old a well-deserved victory.
