Sam Burns is currently earning all the praise for his solid game on the PGA Tour. It doesn’t come as a surprise as Burns has always been a highly heralded player since his high-school and LSU days. Burns’ parents Todd and Beth Burns have been a major factor behind his success, and so has his wife Caroline Burns. 

Sam Burns has been a consistent performer ever since he joined the PGA Tour, and earned a much-deserved victory at the 2021 Valspar Championship. As Burns celebrated in jubilation at Innisbrook Resort, his wife was right next to him, sharing the joy. 

Who is Caroline Burns? 

Born Caroline Campbell, she hails from the same native as Sam Burns. She was born on April 8, 1996, in Shreveport city in Louisiana. Her parents are Chris Campbell and Catherine Cordell. 

Caroline has two brothers, and all three of them attended C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport. The love for sport runs deep in their family as Caroline was a track and field athlete in high school. One of her brothers played baseball in high school and college, while the other played football. 

Burns and Caroline first met each other when they were five years old. They were both little kids attending church, and Burns had even said that she was his first Valentine at the age of five. 

“And then after that she wanted nothing to do with me until high school,” Burns told PGATour.com.

Caroline Campbell has been supporting Sam Burns since his amateur days

Sam Burns and Caroline Campbell have known each other since their childhood, and they got into a relationship when Burns was in college and when she was a sophomore. Caroline stood as massive support through Burns’ journey from his amateur career to joining the PGA Tour. 

The couple is a bit discreet with their lives on social media. Burns proposed to his girlfriend during the 2019 RBC Heritage and got married the same year in December. Burns informed that he had sought the permission of Caroline’s parents before taking the bold step. 

“And you know, I hope that we’ll have many years together and grow old together and get to enjoy a lot of fun things together,” Burns said in 2019. 

The pair got married at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina on December 14, 2019. Burns does not want to forget his roots and currently lives with his wife in Choudrant, Louisiana.
