Phil Spencer Terms Xbox Series X and Series S Reveals as “Unscripted Announce”

The last couple of days have set a precedent for the next generation of gaming. First, a significant leak plunged Microsoft into officially announcing the Xbox Series S, which is priced at $299.
Considering the accuracy of the leak, the announcement didn’t come as a big surprise to many. However, what was about to happen next would surely fill Xbox loyalists with astonishment.
The very next day, Microsoft made the headlines once again by announcing the price for its futuristic Xbox Series X. The next-gen console was costed at $499. Xbox Series X will also be available for a $34.99/mo price for 24 months with Xbox All Access. Microsoft will officially launch their next-gen console on November 10th, with pre-orders starting on September 22nd.

After all the details were officially revealed, Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, labeled the rather odd proceedings as an “unscripted announce”. According to him, they had initially planned the announcements for next week.

He thanked the community for their support and lauded his team for staging everything as they had originally intended to.
The Xbox headman also penned a letter on their official website, offering some insight into what one can expect from the next generation of gaming.

In the letter, Spencer says, “We’ve been using Xbox Series X in our internal Takehome program and are energized by the feedback we’ve been receiving.
“At Xbox, we value being open and transparent with you, and I’m proud to be able to share details about some of the technologies we are enabling for the next generation, and look forward to boldly sharing more as we head towards launch.”
